On July 12th Karen Beebe from Queen of Hearts will be hosting a photography exhibition at Tazza featuring the work of talented photographer Michael Kinnane. We can’t wait to see his breathtaking photographs on display beginning July 12th, and so in anticipation, we thought we would do a little Q & A to get to know this Rhode Island photographer just a little bit better. Check it out!
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Mike Kinnane, I’m 25 years old and I live in Little Compton, RI. I enjoy photography greatly because I love capturing great moments and being able to look back at them. I call it “documenting life”. I also love to surf and enjoy being with family and friends!
Camera of choice?
I shoot with a Canon 40D. It’s an upgrade from my first digital camera. I find it perfect for what I do.
How would you describe your style as a photographer? What do you find most inspiring
I guess a little photojournalistic style. I love to capture great faces and moments as they happen.
Your exhibit will be on display on Tazza beginning July 12th. Out of all the photographs that
will be shown, do you have any personal favorites?
There’s a photo of my brother surfing that I really like. To me the shot looks relaxing. A nice sunny day, blue water and surf, but it also lets you create in your mind the excitement and energy he is feeling.
How long does your exhibition run for? How and where can we see more of your work?
This is my first show and I am very excited about it. Im hoping that through this show more opportunities will come from it. It will be up 4-6 weeks at Tazza, providing people plenty of time to come and see my work. I have more of my photography on my website, www.kinnanephotography.com. Feel free to write and comment on my work, I like hearing from people.
