It’s that time again, and we couldn’t be happier to invite you to the 3rd annual Cinco de Mayo Block Party on Westminster St. in Downcity Providence. Like in past years, we’re shutting down Westminster St, but for two blocks this year! That means more space and more fun!

The event is FREE and open to the public, outdoors, Sunday – May 5th from 12p-6p. FREE masks for the first 500 guests! Come celebrate with our neighborhood! Bring the kid’s too – there will be plenty of complementary kid friendly activities.

All your favorite Westminster St businesses will be out in force, offering special activities like face painting from the ladies at Queen of Hearts and Modern Love, arts and crafts for kid’s from Homestyle, a pinata smashing curtsey of Craftland.

We’re joining forces again with the amazing Rock ‘n Roll Yard Sale, which will be set up on Grant’s Block. Tons of fun vendors with quality records and vintage items! Plenty to explore.

And bring your appetite, because Poco Loco Tacos, Mijos Tacos, Like No Udder, Trinity Brewhouse, Sprout and Tazza Caffe will all be serving up delicious snacks and beverages.

Musical performances include DJ Studebaker Hawk and Mariachi de Brown!

Our friends at Zipcar are bringing Mini Matelski (one of their mini coopers), and are asking you to complete her outfit by drawing Happy Cinco de Mayo messages all over. That’s right – they want you to draw on their car! And Providence’s Yelp Ambassadors will be there to check you in.

RSVP on facebook so we know how many beers to pour and tacos to make!

The event will run from 12p-6p. It is outdoors. If we’re unlucky and it rains, we will be announcing any postponements or cancellations here.
