Pick of the Day: Wicked Natural’s Caramel Mustard at Farmstead

wicked.good

Farmstead
doesn’t steer us wrong when it comes to cheese, so I should of known better than to second guess their judgment when I saw Wicked Good’s Caramel Mustard on their shelf. Don’t be fooled by the combination of mustard and caramel like I was, it’s a delicious dip, spread and marinade that is surprisingly versatile. And don’t just take my word for it, check out this older article from The Providence Phoenix “Wicked Good Caramel Mustard…When Worlds Collide” by Philip Amara. Not only does he sing the praises of Wicked Natural’s Carmel Mustard but mentions some really creative recipes like using it to baste a ham or pairing it with brie and puff pastry. Stop by Farmstead’s downcity location at 233 Westminster Street.

Don’t Sit in Traffic.. Learn to Dance! ‘Rush Hour Dance and Fitness at Perishable Theatre

perishable

I think Perishable Theater has a got a great thing going, with their after work class series “Rush Hour”. Instead of running out the door of the office just to hurry up and sit in traffic, you can join a class or two during the week, learn a new style of dance, let off some steam and burn a few calories! The classes range from belly dancing, to modern dance and ballet, to “Soca-Robics”, which incorporates Caribbean style music with high-energy aerobic steps and traditional West African movements: yielding a full body workout! It’s $13 to drop in, or $60 for a six class punch card. It won’t expire, and can be used for any class in the series. Rush Hour classes are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 5:30pm, Wednesdays at 6:00pm, and there are two morning classes held on Sunday as well. Visit their website for more schedule details and class descriptions. Beat the traffic! Get your dance on!

Having always been a Shakespeare fan, Im excited to see Trinity Rep put on Twelfth Night, coming up this month. “Shakespeare’s topsy-turvy tale of love and laughter.
