When I hit the end of a long work day, there are usually two things I want: a drink, and a snack. Aspire Restaurant, 311 Westminster St., offers both, with a special discounted menu from 4pm-7pm, Monday-Thursday. They have 1$, 3$ and 5$ food items, ranging from jumbo shrimp cocktail, to stuffies, to artisan pizza’s, and of course a full bar. Visit their website for a full “Weekday Wind Down” menu. A great place to socialize, wait out the rush hour traffic, and let go of the day…head over there, get some great cheap eats, and take a load off!

I don’t think I’m the only one who feels withdrawals from the weekend on Mondays. That’s why I love Bravo’s Monday Night Dinner Special for Two. I can extend the fun of going out on the weekend to Monday night and not feel bad about it, since two people can eat Bravo’s great food and have a bottle of wine for only $29. With several delicious entrée choices like Roast Pork Loin, Atlantic Cod, and Asparagus Ravioli, also coming with a Caesar or Bravo salad, I think it’s a steal. And a bottle of Tunnel of Elms Chardonnay, Merlot, or Cabernet to compliment? Perfect. Bring a date, or just a friend, and head to Bravo to wash away the Monday blues.
