We love when everyone comes together for a good cause! On Thursday, March 18th, the art community is coming together to support Chile’s recovery by donating their work for this benefit auction and exhibition. We hope you will join us in this cause. Organized by Chilean artist Magaly Ponce, photographer Frank Mullin, and curator Maya Allison.

The gallery at Craftland is showcasing new work by Shannon Rankin with a solo show, ” Convergence – A Survey of process, pattern and place”. Rankin deconstructs maps and then beautifully reconstructs the pieces to “create new geographies, suggesting the potential for a broader landscape.”
A collection of the artist’s exploratory installations, collages, and studies; inspired by geological and biological processes, patterns in nature, geometry, and anatomy will be on display at the Craftland Gallery until Saturday, April 17th. The idea behind Black Sheep Projects is to give emerging artists at RISD the opportunity to present new work in an alternative space in Downcity Providence, RI. The works for each show will be selected by a guest juror from the contemporary art world. This project is about creating an opportunity for RISD students to stand out for making excellent work.
