Greater City: Providence, an amazing and a well-established website that promotes the growth and development of the Greater Providence region in as urban a pattern as possible, featured Downcity Fusion Fest. Website’s special focus is placed on the development of more walkable, affordable, and vibrant neighborhoods that are served by more robust mass transit and fueled by greater economic opportunity.

Greater City: Providence is a sister site! So, make sure to check them out frequently! They have vast amount of frequent updates about City of Providence, including those of Downcity and it’s very fun to check out the pictures they post on the website! We want to say a big THANKS to Fusionworks and WBRU for helping us make the Fusion Fest such a success! The weather was certainly against us, but we lucked out with little bits of sunshine here and there. And what better than beer, sausage, and hot cider, to warm us up.

It’s time to celebrate the season, and we’re inviting you to celebrate with us, in Downcity, tomorrow, October 17th, from 1-6pm. Local brew Beer Garden right on Westminster St! Huge sidewalk sale, lots of fun (and free) activities for the kids, pumpkin painting, face painting, live music, dance, and great bbq from Tazza. If your looking for the Beer Garden, it will be on Grant’s Block, at the corner of Union and Westminster. Kids crafts will be along Union St. and the sidewalk sales will be throughout the neighborhood!

The weather was not the best for the Fusion Fest, but we stuck it out and had a really great time. Nothing like beer and sausage to warm things up!

We had such a good time at the Providence Art Festival on June 13th. Westminster St. was packed with artists and entertainers, and thousands of you came out to enjoy! We can’t wait for next year..stay tuned for the announcement of the date.
